Fitness Sessions
(incorporating ski-fitness November to February)

These great, group fitness sessions use Interval Training to help you with your fitness. Interval Training is a great way to get fit, because it:

  • Burns fat
  • Exercises the heart and lungs
  • Strengthens and tones the muscles
  • Is simple and effective
  • Caters for all levels and abilities - You work at your own pace!
  • Allows for easy progression as fitness levels improve
  • Maintains interest as routines are varied
  • Builds strength and stamina for skiing and other active challenges.

Interval Training consists of a number of different exercises done at various points around a room. An exercise is done for a fixed time (e.g. 40 seconds), after which, you move around the room to the next exercise and do that for the fixed time, and so on until all exercises have been done. This type of routine is very effective. Swimmers, runners, cyclists, skiers, tennis players, gardeners and others who enjoy an active lifestyle can find that Interval Training complements their main activity. For this reason, Interval Training is a good “cross training” activity as well as being an excellent exercise regime in its own right.

Circuit Training

Sessions are suitable for adults (16+) of all ages and abilities. They're friendly and relaxed - and you can come on your own, or with a friend. There's no need to be self conscious and there are no complicated moves. You work at your own pace and sessions are structured to allow for each individual to maintain or improve their fitness level.

Individual coaching points to prevent injury and to ensure correct technique are always given. Every session works different muscles and includes aerobic exercises. There's a cool down routine at the end.

The benefits of Interval Training (sometimes know as Circuit Training) include: improvement in general fitness levels, improved self confidence and weight control.

 The exercises burn fat and strengthen and tone muscles. Interest is maintained as the routines are varied. Classes are continuous throughout the year and there's easy parking at all venues. As far as what to wear ......comfortable clothing and trainers are fine.

Each session costs £6.00 and there are discounts available for multiple sessions. Click on the venue for a map.

Mornings – Tuesday and Thursday

Tuesday 9am to 10am at The Community Centre in Weycombe Rd off High Lane, Haslemere,GU27 1EL

Thursday 9.30am to 10.30am at Hardman Hall, Lynchmere Rd. Hammer, Haslemere, GU27 3QW

Evenings – Monday and Wednesday

Monday 8pm to 9pm at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall, Derby/Weydown Rd, Haslemere, GU27 1BT

Wednesday 8pm to 9pm at Hardman Hall, Lynchmere Rd. Hammer, Haslemere, GU27 3QW
